Jim Clark left a message on March 9, 2024:
A few days ago I was preparing to send a birthday card to Bob for this Sunday and then realized that I had not heard from him via email in quite sometime. Knowing his age, I checked the obituaries in his town and discovered that he had passed in Nov. I met Bob when he came to work for the Social Security Administration at Headquarters. We worked together for a few years until he and Donna moved to Florida. Bob was great to work with! He shared a joke or two everyday, was a subject expert that we relied on for the software we were developing, and was always encouraging when we hit a snag in our work efforts. He truly loved his wife Donna and was devoted to her. I had actually met Donna a couple of times. And Bob loved animals, especially his dog and cat which is always a plus in my book. I had planned on sending him his birthday card earlier this week and planned to call him on his birthday this Sunday as I did most years. I will miss that opportunity this and all future years. I will also miss our periodic email exchanges. However, I am glad that Bob will no longer have to live each day alone without Donna. I am thankful for the time that I did get to know Bob's friendship.

Bob was a kind gentleman and will be missed. Enjoyed going by and talking to him as he sat out in the driveway. Also saw him when delivering Meals on Wheels and he was always very appreciative. Happy for him that he is reunited with his wife and family.

Bob was one of the sweetest, kindest, accepting people we have ever known. He and Donna were wonderful neighbors to us and generously accepted us into their fold. Many a day started with a conversation in his driveway before or after a walk, making our day a little brighter and a little happier. We miss you, Bob, as does our Robbie, and we will always carry you in our hearts. Rest peacefully, dear friend.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

So sad to learn of Bob's passing. Bob was one of the people I looked forward to seeing sitting in his driveway as I did my morning walk. He was on my last leg on my way home and I would always stop and we would talk. I can't remember all that we talked about but I remember how good I felt when I left. Always a great start to my day God bless you Bob and thank you for your kindness. I will miss you my friend..
