Robert “Bob” H. Livingstone, 87, of Punta Gorda, Florida, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Tidewell Hospice House in Port Charlotte, Florida.
He was born on a Thursday, March 10, 1938, in Providence, Rhode Island and moved to Punta Gorda, Florida from Riverside, Rhode Island with his wife Ruth H. Livingstone.
Bob served in the U.S. Navy overseas in Kenitra, Morocco with Fleet Tactical Support Squadron 24 which supplied the Mediterranean Fleet. He was an active Mason and Past Master of Saint Andrews Lodge No. 39 located in Riverside Rhode Island. He received his 50-year medal from the Grand Lodge of Rhode Island. Bob was also a past Dad of Riverside Assembly No. 9 Rainbow for girls.
Bob worked for Amica Mutual Insurance Company located in Lincoln Rhode Island for 37 years before retiring in 1995 as a section supervisor in the Corporate Information Systems Department.
Survivors include his two daughters, Laura (husband Keith) Grant of North Port, FL, and Julie (husband Russell) Westcott of Cedar Key, FL, four grandchildren, Joshua, Christopher, Zachary, and Molly, and eight great grandchildren, Kylie Trombley and Austin Trombley, Aleyda Fowler, Faith Grant, Norah Grant, Ruby Grant, Caroline Grant and Charlie Grant. He is also survived by his second wife, Darcy Jean Livingstone. He was preceded in death by his first wife Ruth in 2010, with whom he will be laid to rest.
Visitation and services will be held for Bob on Friday, July 18, 2025. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at Roberson Funeral Homes Port Charlotte Chapel located at 2151 Tamiami Trail in Port Charlotte, and Graveside services with Military Honors by the U.S. Navy will be held 12:30 PM at Sarasota National Cemetery located at 9810 State Rd 72 in Sarasota, Florida, with burial to follow.
