Ken & Georgia Maresh left a message on February 12, 2026:
We are deeply saddened by Bob's passing. It seems like only a few days ago that Ken had one of his regular phone conversations with Bob -- one of the people he maintained contact with over the many years.. Of course, they reminisced about the Partridge neighborhood and all the wonderful memories there. Also talked about being Czech and the wonderful ethnic food we all grew up on. We were looking forward to maybe seeing each other at Cesky Den back in Ohio in July. even though it was hard for both Ken and Bob to get around now. Tried calling again thiis past weekend and that's when we learned phone disconnected and the obituary. A sad day. He will be missed. Bob was one of a kind and always had a wry sense of humor on life. We send our deep sympathy to you Cheryl, Mike and Jimmy.

To my beloved only brother Bob Bass! I love you forever with all of my heart and soul. Thank you for always encouraging me ! Thank you for loving my family, always caring about their lives, and building them up! Gene; Steve & Amy; John ; Becky Joy ; Marybeth & Rodney, and your 21 nieces & nephews ! Everything depends upon the saving power of our Lord Jesus. Because of Him we shall see you again! I cling to Jesus’ words in Luke 16:22, “ you have sorrow now, but your hearts shall rejoice , and no one will take your joy from you.”

Dear Cheryi, Mike and Jimmy, I was very sad to learn your husband and dad left us this winter. As another 80- year--old I wish we could all have the opportunity to see each other again. How many sandlot ball games did we all share in Brecksville with Bob and Charley running the program. Bob gave so much time to Todd, Erick, Joe and so many others as they pursued their love of the game. As Mike and Jimmy could attest the sons and daughters of the coaches always were expected to work harder. make less mistakes and want tto win that all the time and make no excuses. I hope as all of us coached our teams we just wanted you to love the games as much as we did.

Today & always may loving memories of Bob bring you strength, comfort & peace. Those we love & care about don't go away, they will walk besides us every day. Knowing Bob for 60 some years I know that he would want it that way, I will miss the conversations we had & I know we will meet again until then your memories will remain in our hearts. Rest in Peace My Friend.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
