Robert Michael Dunham, 74, of Punta Gorda, Florida passed away on October 28, 2024 from complications of heart disease.
Mike was born in Washington, DC and grew up in Fairfax, Virginia. He loved playing Little League baseball with his father (coach) and brothers. He played golf with his dad, which developed into a passion for the Golf Channel. He graduated from W. T. Woodson High School, attended Virginia Tech, and graduated from Benjamin Franklin University (BFU) with a BA in Accounting. He passed the CPA exam and pursued a career in public accounting. After retiring, he relocated to Punta Gorda, Florida. In Florida, he served on the board of his condominium association. He was a devoted father and grandfather, who was always a great support to his family. He will undoubtedly miss watching golf and his favorite political commentary channels, as well as spending beach time with his grandkids.
Mike is survived by his daughter, Michelle Dunham Berlin, her husband, Marc Berlin, and two grandchildren, Maya Berlin and Jonah Berlin of Eden, Ontario, Canada. He is also survived by his aunt, Beatrice Bellows, and six siblings, Barbara Mueller, Thomas Dunham, John Dunham, Anne Dunham, Donna Nebel, and Richard Dunham. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Robert A. Dunham and Lucille J. Dunham of Vienna, Virginia.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the American Heart Association.
