Robert Leon Schottel, 68, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Sunday, September 18, 2011
at Harbour Healthcenter in Port Charlotte. He was born in Savannah, Georgia
and moved to Port Charlotte in 1967 from Oklahoma. Robert was a veteran serving in the US Navy. He worked for General Development Corp. in Charlotte County for many years as a cathodic controller. He was of Christian faith.
He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather, he will be missed
But not forgotten.

Survived by his loving wife, Margaret E. Schottel of Port Charlotte; a daughter, Marcie L. DeGiovine of Punta Gorda; a son, Jonathan W. Schottel of Port Charlotte. A sister, Sharon Boatwright and a brother Larry Schottel both of Oklahoma; two granddaughters and one great granddaughter.

I am so sorry to hear of Bob's passing away. This is Ruby Poe (the one you called BLUE EYES) at dialysis, her daughter LINDA I remember the fun talks we had at the clinic and after Bob came in the transport van I always asked about him . I know he had some bad days and some good days there. My mom passed away Oct.3.2010 so now they are both up in heaven. I miss seeing you and my prayers and thoughts are with you. l love you.
