She was born July 30, 1929 in Cleaton, Kentucky to the late Halford and Juanita Walls. As a young child the family moved to Hammond, Indiana where she graduated from Hammond High School in 1947. After graduation she attended business school in Chicago, Illinois. She was a former office manager for Webb Ford, Inc. of Highland, Indiana. In 1985 she moved to Punta Gorda Isles from Portage, Indiana and then to Port Charlotte in 2005. Geri was a member of American Legion Post #110, Port Charlotte.
Survived by two step-daughters, Toni Ann (Andrew) Luther of Portage, IN and Nancy Perri of Sierra Vista, AZ; a step-son, Joseph J. “Jay” (Joanne) Perri of Prairieville, LA; 3 step-grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. Perri, who died in 2011.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 3, 2014 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00 PM. Entombment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Port Charlotte.
