Ron was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Monday, July 1, 1946 to his late father and mother, Joe and Phyllis Spano, who had seven children in all. Ron was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and has been an entrepreneur of several successful businesses including current business “Woody’s Pawn”. Ron loved living life to its fullest. He was extremely outgoing and thrived on being surrounded by people, especially family. Family meant the world to him. He shared his love of life with large gatherings including Sunday dinner with family and friends.
Ron who was preceded in death by his father Joe Spano, and his mother Phyllis Spano (Filomena Calderazzi), was also preceded in death by a daughter Ronda Spano, brothers Joseph and Frank, and a sister Delores (Dutchie) Scheller (Spano). He will be deeply missed by his spouse Heather A. Spano (DeLance); daughters Ronica (Joe) Kelly, Roneen (Jeff) Hicks; sons Nicholas and Ryan (Danielle); 11 grandchildren, and 1 great grandson; siblings Mary Sweeney (Spano), Phyllis Frishman (Spano), Phillip (Sally); in-laws, Pat and Karen DeLance; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time. With Ron’s love for people, a celebration of life, will be announced, at a later date.
Friends may visit online at www.robersonfh.com to extend condolences to the family. Arrangements are by Roberson Funeral Homes & Crematory, Punta Gorda Chapel.
