Ronald Vance Williamson, 79, Of Punta Gorda, Florida, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Saturday, January 13, 2024.
Ron was born June 22, 1944, in Binghamton, NY, to Donald and Zelda Williamson. He was very athletic and enjoyed wrestling and football. His love of sports endured his whole life. He also loved old westerns and John Wayne movies. Ron worked for IBM Corporation for 34 years then retired and moved to Florida. Ron was a loving and kind man who never met a stranger and was liked by everyone he met.
He is survived by his daughter, Michele (Glenn) Rauchwarg of Toano, VA; Son, Ronald “Chip” (Melani) Williamson of Endwell, NY; Son, Steven (Annette) Williamson of Clayton, NC; Daughter Megan (Eric) Ochoa of Williamsburg, VA; and grandchildren Zachary (Kelsey) Sage; Kaitlyn (John) Douglas; Danielle (Theodore) Gutches; Nicholas Rauchwarg; Austin Williamson, Jacob Williamson, Garrett Williamson, Grace Williamson, Dominick Williamson, Annie Williamson, Sophia Williamson, Rachel Ochoa and Emilia Ochoa. Ron was preceded in death by his Parents Donald and Zelda and his brother Gary.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Faith Lutheran Church, 4005 Palm Dr, Punta Gorda, FL 33950 at 11:oo AM.
