Rosa B. Watkins, 98, of North Port, Florida was called to her eternal rest on Sunday, September 22, 2019. She was a beloved mother, sister and friend.

Rosa was born March 2, 1921 in Louisburg, North Carolina to the late Sygnora and Elbert Harris. She was a member of the St. Stephens Baptist Church, Temple Hills, Maryland. She faithfully attended until she became ill and moved to Florida. She married the late Leroy Watkins at an early age. To this union one child was born, Charlotte Berryman. Rosa lived a rich and full life, the Lord having allowed her to be with us for 98 years.

We shall miss her, but we thank God for giving her to us for such a long time. Our hearts are heavy, but we know our loss is Heaven’s gain. She leaves to cherish her memory; a daughter, Charlotte Berryman of North Port, FL and son-in-law, W. Michael Berryman; a brother, Lathenia Harris of Washington, D.C. and a daughter-in-law, Delores Harris of Washington, D.C.; and two nephews, Johnnie Jearl Davis of Southampton, NJ and Florilis Davis of Marietta, GA; and man y nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Prayers going up for you Charlie and your family. She was a lovely lady. From the first time I met her, she always made me feel that I was like family. She was soft spoken and I never heard her speak a harsh word to anyone. She always greeted you with a smile. She deserved all the years she received from God. Heaven has received a faithful angel.

May God Bless you Charlotte and all your family members and of course Rosa and her vibrant self, as I remember her with her bouncy curls. RIP

As another beautiful flower is added to the Master bouquet. Mother Rose was such a lovely neighbor, person and friend. I will always cherish her beautiful soft voice ans smile. Her conversations were always so pleasant as she strolled through the neighborhood. Our Prayer will continue to go out to Charley and Mike.

Ms. Rosa was a truly wonderful person that has always been kind to me and my family, she has always had a smile on her face greeted you with kindness. I remember her taking the time to look after my son when he was young and she always stopped by to spend time with my mother when she was in town visiting. May her soul rest in eternal peace. We send our condolences to the entire family, especially Charlie and Mike, you were always there for "Momma" and you were blessed to be together for the many years of her life.
