Rosemarie Arnoldt, 94, of Port Charlotte, Florida, peacefully entered into eternal life on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at her home. A woman of remarkable strength, intellect, and faith, Rosemarie leaves behind a legacy defined by her adventurous spirit and devotion to her family.
Rosemarie’s journey began on November 3, 1931, in Semarang, on the island of Java, Indonesia, where she was raised alongside her two brothers. In March 1954, she married her beloved husband, Peter John Arnoldt, in the Netherlands. Together, they immediately embarked on a new chapter, emigrating to Canada to build their future.
While raising four children and navigating the frequent moves required by new opportunities, Rosemarie demonstrated an extraordinary work ethic. She served her community as a nurse while simultaneously pursuing higher education, eventually earning two bachelor’s degrees from the University of Windsor. In 1978, the family moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to found Ductmate Industries, Inc.
Upon retiring in the 1990s, Rosemarie and Peter transitioned to the warmth of Port Charlotte, Florida. There, Rosemarie became an integral part of the community and ultimately a member of the Port Charlotte Global Methodist Church. She lived her life with a bold and fearless grace, grounded in a deep, unwavering faith.
An avid traveler and a patron of the arts, Rosemarie possessed an insatiable curiosity for the world. She was known for her compassion toward those in need, her love for her many pets, and the genuine kindness she extended to friends and neighbors alike.
Rosemarie was reunited in Heaven with her parents; her brothers, Hans and Rob; her husband, Peter; and her daughter, Renee.
Her memory will be cherished by her loving children: Fay, Fred, Bruce (Chrissy); and son-in-law, Tim. She also leaves behind a legacy of seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly.
