Shirley J. Jaworski, 88, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2013 in Port Charlotte.

She was born November 19, 1924 in Carbondale, Pennsylvania and moved to Port Charlotte In 1989 from New Jersey. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother, who will be missed but not forgotten.

Survived by two sons, Leon Jaworski of Dickinson Center , NY and Gary Jaworski of Port Charlotte; a daughter, Cheryl Meyer of Port Charlotte; two sisters, Alma Ely of Watkins Glen, NY and Barbara Crocker of Uniondale, PA; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Sunday, October 27, 2013 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte. There will be a funeral service 10:00 AM Monday, October 28, 2013 at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Port Charlotte.

Memorial contributions may be made to: Wounded Warrior Project – P.O. Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675.

I looked forward to visiting with Shirley when I came down to Florida. She was a wonderful Grandmother to Jonathan and Shelby and was always anxious to participate in family events.
