Steven Dale Strunk, age 78, of Punta Gorda, Florida, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at the Tidewell Hospice House in Port Charlotte, FL.

Steve was born in Oneida, TN on September 8, 1947.  He was a graduate of America University in Washington, DC.  After 37 years of service, he retired from the Federal Government in 2002 and moved to Punta Gorda permanently with his wife, Susan, in 2013.  Steve was a truly dedicated husband, beloved father, uncle and friend.  He will be remembered as a loyal, fun-loving, dapper guy who could be counted on for a good joke.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Geraldine Strunk of Oneida, TN, his sister, Pam Strunk of Oneida, TN and his brother, Michael Strunk of Punta Gorda, FL.  He leaves behind his loving wife, Susan (Stebbins) Strunk and son, Bryce Strunk of Punta Gorda; sister, Kimberly (Strunk) Terry of Helenwood, TN; sister-in-law, Tony Stebbins of Barre, VT; brother-in-law, Scott Stebbins of Barre, VT; sister-in-law Dorothy L. Strunk of Punta Gorda, FL and many nieces, nephews and their families.

Services celebrating Steve’s life will be held this Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Roberson Funeral Home Punta Gorda Chapel located at 215 Mary Street in Punta Gorda.
