Susan V. Goode, 71, of Punta Gorda, Florida died Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at home.

She was born November 3, 1952, in Houston, Texas to the late Vern Keith Venator and Sue (Griffin) Venator. Susan and her husband Pat moved to Punta Gorda 20 years ago from Warner Robbins, Georgia. She was a retired special needs elementary school teacher.

Survived by her loving family, her husband, Pat (Samuel P. ) Goode of Punta Gorda; two sons, Patrick Keith Goode of Round Rock, TX and Christopher William Goode of Sarasota, FL; a sister, Betty Venator of Dallas, TX; a brother, Glen Venator of West Monroe, LA; and two grandchildren, Jonah Estelle Goode and Nathan Keith Goode.

In addition to her parents, a son, John Robert Goode and a brother, Griff Venator preceded her in death.

Memorial services will be held later in Monroe, Louisiana.

Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Red Cross.
