Tethla Rose Channer, 74, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away April 20, 2010 at her residence. She was born March 1, 1936 to Flossie and Charles Farquharson in Jamaica West Indies. Rose left Jamaica in March 1960 to go to London, England to attend nursing school, where she became a registered nurse and a certified Mid-Wife. She worked delivering many beautiful babies. She then moved to Connecticut in 1968 and then in 1988 she moved to Port Charlotte from Queens, New York. She was a loving mother, grandmother and will be missed very much, but not forgotten.
Survived by her loving daughter and son in law, Lori-Ann Rose and Justin Lorenzo of North Port; Three grandchildren, Jules, Breanna and Bryce;
There will be a visitation Friday, April 30, 2010 from 10:00 AM till the funeral service at 11:00 AM at Community Life Center Gospel Ministries Assembly of God in Port Charlotte. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Port Charlotte.
