THELMA E. SIMMONDS, 87 Port Charlotte, Florida passed away peacefully at Port Charlotte Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation on Friday, October 13^th, 2023.

She was born on June 7, 1936, in Manchester, Jamaica to Pearl W. Allen and David K. Chee. She immigrated to Miami, Florida in 1980. Before retiring she was a Payroll Administrator at Barry University and in 2006 Thelma and her husband, Lloyd moved from Miami to Port Charlotte.

Thelma is survived by her husband, Lloyd W. Simmonds; children, Ann, Francene and Roger (Carolyn) Simmonds, grandson Kyle Simmonds, brother Mark Allen and stepdaughter, Marcia Folkes. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Claudette Talbert.

A memorial service celebrating Thelma’s life will be held Friday, November 3, 2023, at 12 noon at First Presbyterian Church, Port Charlotte, 2230 Hariet St, FL 33952. Reception to follow at the church.
