Ted was born on December 6, 1931 in Campbell, Ohio, but had resided in Greencastle where he worked for DePauw University for 40 years until his retirement as Director of Athletics. He was a veteran of the Korean War, U.S. Army.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Linda M. Katula; daughters Laura (Dr. David) Cislo and Wendy (Dr. William) Fellmy; sons Edward (Jessica) Katula and Matthew (Beverly) Katula; eight grandchildren; a sister Mary Jane (Bud) Phillips, and brother Robert (Joan) Katula.
