Theresa Cherry, 62, of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away at her resdience in Port Charlotte on Thursday, December 14, 2023.
Theresa was born on September 3, 1961, in Newport News, Virginia, to the late Richard and Norma Jean Bonner. Her father was in the US Air Force so she was fortunate to live in many states and The UK. Theresa graduated from high school while living in Arkansas, married, and was raising two sons when she moved to Tennessee. There she met and later married Michael G. Cherry. In the late 90’s they relocated to Florida where she attended college, attaining an Associates in Science degree for nursing. Theresa worked as a Registered Nurse at hospitals in Port Charlotte and Venice, and delighted in helping others. She was a loving and beloved mother, sister, wife, and grandmother.
She is survived by her loving husband Michael G. Cherry, one son, James Myers and his spouse Brandy and daughter Zoey; a step daughter, Amy Knowles: a sister, Paula Snyder; brothers Ricky Bonner, and Ronald Bonner; and many extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents, Theresa was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Bonner, and a son, Raymond Eugene Myers.

My dad and her dad was in the Air Force together. Our families would get together from time to time, it was fun. This past summer Theresa and her brother got together with all my sisters at my sisters house in Florida. Theresa you will be missed so very much.
