Mrs. Theresa A. Giampa, 77, of Port Charlotte, Florida, formerly of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, passed away Sunday, April 11, 2010.

Born Theresa Ann Cornetta on February 26, 1933 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to the late Michael A. and Frances (nee – Ciolli) Cornetta, Theresa moved from her native Pittsburgh with her husband Angelo to Charlotte, North Carolina, before moving to Port Charlotte in 1984. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, she was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Port Charlotte.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Angelo Giampa; sons Vincent M. (Linda) Giampa of Apollo Beach, FL, and Michael (Patricia) Giampa of Pittsburgh, PA; daughter, Angela Giampa of Port Charlotte, FL; 4 grandchildren, Anthony, David, Jim and Katie Giampa; a sister, Anna Marie Ebbitt of Pittsburgh, PA; and her beloved canines, Jamie and Saba. Theresa was preceded in death by a brother, Martin Cornetta.

Dear Family, I knew Terry long ago, when her and I worked for Wal mart. We were both orignal employees for the first Port Charlotte Wal Mart, wow! What a crew we had. I loved Terry so much. We got along so well. She was rough on the outside, but a total pushover on the inside. I loved and respected her so much. She was a good friend through thick and thin, and I will miss her very much.
