Thomas was born on April 10, 1938, on Staten Island, New York to the late Lorette(Grube) and James Sidney O’Connell. He moved to Port Charlotte, Florida in 1979 where he owned and operated Floors Plus for 40 years. Thomas served our country in the United States Navy. Thomas loved to play golf and photography.
Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Michelle A. O’Connell, son, John O’Connell and his wife Michele, sister Barbara Warren of Staten Island, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Thomas was preceded in death by his sons, Thomas Jr. , James, and daughter Cheryl.
Graveside service for Thomas will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 30, 2023 at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 1380 Forrest Nelson Blvd, Port Charlotte, FL 33948.
