Vareese Farr was born on April 27, 1923 in Detroit, Michigan to Leon & Clara Wafer. She departed this life on March 28, 2010 at Peace River RMC in Port Charlotte, Florida. Vareese was married to William Farr on April 23, 1977 to present. They had no children. Early in life Vareese was married to Charles Smith.
She graduated from Cass Technical High School and had 2 years of college. Vareese worked as an Assistant Payment Supervisor at Social Services in the State of Michigan for over 20 years. She lived with her husband, William in Southfield, Michigan before they retired and moved to Florida.
For many years she has been an active member in the Women’s Democratic Club, Women’s Coalition of SW Florida and the 369th Women’s Auxiliary of Florida. Vareese was an avid reader, bingo player, and played the lottery. She loved going on cruises and getting dressed for all the gala’s.
Vareese leaves to mourn, a loving husband who adored her to the end. Her parents, Leon & Clara Wafer, her sister, Evelyn Wafer and brother, Leon all departed before her. She has a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. A dear sister-in-law, Vera Baker Farr who lives in Richton Park, Illinois and a brother-in-law, Horace Farr (Georgia) who lives in Gary, Indiana have many fond and loving memories of Vareese.
