Virginia (Jenny) Lee Diersing, 78, of Port Charlotte, Florida, died Monday, July 30, 2007 at Charlotte Regional Medical Center in Punta Gorda after a brief illness.

Jenny, born October 17, 1928 in Louisville, Kentucky, moved to this area in 1993 with her husband Clarence, from their long time home, Newport News, Virginia. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Port Charlotte, and the Charlotte County Womens Bowling Association.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Clarence B. Diersing, Jr., and one son, Bryant (wife Nancy) Diersing of Key Largo, FL.

Jenny has entered her everlasting home in heaven where there is no pain from an earthly body. Please know my thoughts are with you Clarence, Bryant and Nancy during the loss of a wonderful wife, mother and mother in law. Hold onto one another during this time of loss.

What a lovely, fun person Jenny was. She was Jack's favorite cousin and those two were a laugh a minute. She made me feel so welcome in the family and I'm glad that our paths crossed. We will miss Mom a lot. She was there to take my Moms place when she passed. She was a person who could make you laugh even when she was feeling down. We will miss her her & her Lady Bugs.
