She was born July 15, 1919 in Jamaica, West Indies and moved to Port Charlotte in 1978 from Brooklyn, New York. She was a retired nurses aide and was a member of Port Charlotte United Methodist Church , where she was a Sunday School teacher and a member of Port Charlotte United Methodist Women . She was a loving mother, sister and aunt and will be missed very much.
Survived by a son, David Nurse of Port Charlotte; several nieces and nephews
including Leonie I. Samuels of Port Charlotte.
Visitation will be Friday, October 30, 2009 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Roberson funeral Home Port Charlotte. Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM Saturday, October 31, 2009 at Port Charlotte United Methodist Church. Rev. Brain James and Rev. J. Ralph Burton, Jr. will officiate. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Port
Charlotte.
