He was born January 31, 1908 in Trenton, New Jersey and moved to Port
Charlotte from Freehold, New Jersey in 1985. He was a retired supervisor for the
U.S. Postal Service. He was a veteran of World War II, U.S. Army. A member of Port Charlotte United Methodist Church, American Legion Post #110, V.F.W. Post 5690 both of Port Charlotte, the N.A.A.C.P., The National Associated of Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) and Omega Psi Phi
He is survived by his loving companion, Marian Martin of Port Charlotte; a niece, Gloria Chandler of Plainfield, NJ; and a god daughter, Caryl Williams of New Hope, PA.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Daisy Hutchins who died in 1999.
