Willie “Cano” Carrasquillo, 47, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Thursday, November 24, 2016 at his home in Port Charlotte.

Cano was born May 24, 1969 in Manhattan, New York. Cano was a full spirited man who loved life to the fullest. He loved his family dearly especially his children. He worked hard during his earlier days before his injury and later becoming disabled. In spite of it all he did everything he could to stay strong and keeping his faith. He was a great son, brother, father and friend and will forever be missed by all who loved and knew him.

Survivors include his mother, Hilda Mendez; his 4 daughters, Gizelle Marie Falcon, Alexis, Angela and Keila Carrasquillo; 2 sons, Will, Jr. and Dominic Carrasquillo; his 2 brothers, Alex and Gabriel Carrasquillo; his aunt, Helen Diaz; and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date by the family.

Our flea market trips were always more fun than anyone would think

May you rest in peace, thank you for giving me a blessing, our son. I'll always remember the good times.

To all who knew will he was a very funny, vibrant, outgoing guy who loved life to its fullest and loved his friends dearly. Will was an amazing friend to those of us who knew him well and although life took us in different directions, he would drop whatever to help out anyone in need. I will truly miss that big smile of his, the numerous stories he told and well as his wonderful heart. To my forever friend may you Rest In Peace and keep our past friends and family smiling in heaven. I will always love and miss you.. Til we meet again..

To all who knew Cano... He was my best friend. He was a unique guy, one who always spoke what he felt but always cared about you in his way. All he wanted in life was a good life; like we all want. He had his troubled days and sometimes he could be an A$$ but he was always my friend. In fact, I didn't call him my friend anymore or best friend. He was my brother for life. He loved all his friends like no other. I just want us all to remember him as that guy who was fun, wild, gave a damn, and stood by you till the end. I pray to my Lord and savior to watch over my brother in heaven. And I pray for his family for comfort in their hearts, because we all have lost one heck of a guy. GOD bless you brother. I love you.
