Yvonne Marie Call, our beautiful mother, sadly passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at the Tidewell Hospice House in Port Charlotte, Florida, at the age of 79 years.
She was born on August 12, 1944, in Kennett, Missouri, to Oscar and Ruth Richardson. A wonderful mother (the best) who was always there when we needed her. We are grateful for the way we were raised. You were never afraid to be our mother and to put your foot down, to teach us right from wrong, and to make sure we did our best. You always let us know how much we were all loved. You were one of the strongest women we knew. A caring mom that believed in us and that was there for us no matter what. You never judged us and accepted us as we were. You were a loving, strong, courageous, and faithful mother that cared for our dad deeply and that loved and cared for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren more than anything. You suffered and fought hard to make sure that we would all be ok. You are everything to us and more and we will forever miss you mom but are comforted that you are with your family and friends in Heaven walking with Jesus once again.
She was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Gayle Call in Oriole, MO, on June 10, 1962. She was a loving and devoted wife, married to the love of her life for 61 years.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Ruth, and Oscar Richardson, and three brothers, Joe, Charlie, and Jerry Richardson. She leaves to cherish her memories her husband Gayle Call of Port Charlotte, FL, two daughters, Myra Black of Port Charlotte, FL, and Laurie Grimmer of St. Pete, FL; one sister, Jackie Stewart of Cape Girardeau, MO; two brothers, Will and John Richardson of Cape Girardeau, MO; five grandchildren, Tiffany, Ginger, Kristin, Ryan, and Haley; nine great-grandchildren, and a host of many other relatives and friends.
